️ Project Superintendent — Concrete Construction

Rusin Concrete Construction | Colorado Springs, CO | Full-Time Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 DOE + Bonus & Full Benefits

About Rusin Concrete Construction

For over 29 years, Rusin Concrete has been the trusted name in concrete foundation work for builders, general contractors, and homeowners across Colorado Springs. We believe it takes investment to be great — and that belief shows in every slab we pour, whether anyone ever sees it or not.

We are a team of skilled craftspeople who take pride in delivering the highest quality concrete foundations that look great and stand the test of time. We equip our people with top-of-the-line equipment and software, and we’re growing — which means opportunity for the right leader to grow with us.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Project Superintendent to lead our field teams and drive excellence across safety, quality, production, and day-to-day project execution. If you’re a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and wants to be part of a company with deep roots and a strong future, this is the role for you.

What You’ll Do

  1. Lead field operations — Oversee Foremen and field teams across multiple active projects, ensuring work conforms to contract requirements, change orders are documented, and costs are captured
  2. Champion safety — Ensure Foremen take full ownership of Rusin’s Core Values and jobsite safety standards, manage PPE compliance, complete monthly toolbox safety trainings, and enforce the Daily Huddle process
  3. Drive scheduling & logistics — Coordinate with project management and dispatch teams on daily activities, weekly schedules, manpower needs, and equipment requirements; ensure concrete orders are placed 48 hours in advance (4 days for placements of 60+ CY)
  4. Manage quality & efficiency — Pre-plan placements for efficiency and quality, minimize overages and callbacks, and develop man-hour productivity goals from job estimates
  5. Build strong relationships — Work directly with General Contractors, Superintendents, and clients to keep projects on schedule and Rusin’s reputation strong
  6. Develop your team — Train and mentor Foremen to improve field effectiveness and minimize overtime; assist with employee reviews and hiring as needed
  7. Coordinate inspections — Manage required inspections with local jurisdictions and ensure all Rusin equipment and vehicles are properly inspected

What You Bring

  1. 5+ years of experience in concrete construction as a Foreman or Supervisor, OR 5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance and operations (or an equivalent combination)
  2. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
  3. Proficiency in operating equipment used in concrete flatwork
  4. Fundamental understanding of electronics and field systems
  5. Strong leadership skills — you know how to motivate a crew and build a culture of accountability
  6. Ability to read grades on stakes and maps
  7. Commitment to safety — both in practice and in teaching it to others
  8. Willingness to travel out of town for projects as needed

Physical Requirements

This is a field-based role. You will regularly stand, walk, reach, lift, and operate tools and equipment in all weather conditions — hot, cold, wet, windy, and dusty. Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift 100+ lbs. Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed.
